At least the Tories aimed for higher backhanders than a pair of specs and some new strides.

"Lord Alli has previously bought clothes and glasses for Sir Keir, which have been listed on his entry on the register of MPs' interests".

 How did Kier tap him up for some clothes and a pair of glasses?

"Hi Lord Alli. Didn’t see you there. These bloody glasses, my prescription must have changed".

"Come with me my friend, let me buy you a new pair and let’s get you some nice threads while we are out shopping".

Something like that?

Isn't that standard stuff - on both sides, i.e. retrospective declarations and claims checks? I'd imagine those high up the political ladder have flunkies that do the petty accounting stuff.

You are correct though Mottie, the greedy grasping Tories actually like to make the rest of the UK worse off when they and their chums, dip their toe.

Some ERG members finished up in nice civil service jobs post Brexit. Starmer's "sins" are detailed here

Some rather precise numbers are mentioned so must be recorded somewhere. Jobs are not directly government related more for some specific task. All use advisors.

It's a non story.

But if he has broken rules he should face the consequences.

Nobody should be above the law.

Short memory though mottie? Did you say anything about Johnson decorating no 10 for example.

Stalin has moved his £3000 pedigree Siberian kitten into number 10. Poor Larry the moggy is on borrowed time. Obviously not good enough for Mr & Mrs Two Tier. Maybe the kitten helps them tick some barmy diversity box, being a foreign breed.

When there's thousands of cats in desperate need of a good home, something wrong with his thinking. Saying that, I suppose a muslim benefactor could be behind such largesse.

Talk about champagne socialists!

Mottie never complained about the £4.2b of PPE money spaffed up the wall on Tories mates
Mottie never complained about the £200m spaffed up the wall on Michelle Mone
Mottie never complained about the £32,000 IEA (a campaigner for NHS privatisation) gave Matt Hancock

Mottie has a tantrum over a pair of glasses

Yes but headlines.

This is labour, the big stuff was Tory

I saw Yvette Cooper being interviewed on TV this morning and three times they asked her whether she thought it looked bad that Kier is seen to be accepting clothing, spectacles and other stuff from doners while cutting winter payments for some pensioners. Three times she completely ignored the question and started talking about something completely different. It was a bit like asking JohnD or ellal a question on here!
