At least the Tories aimed for higher backhanders than a pair of specs and some new strides.

Please explain why low wages were enough to live on in 2010
But those low wages have stagnated for 14 years….meanwhile wages of top earners like CEOs has quadrupled

You said you are taking on lawyers for £200k. How much were they earning in 2010?
I answered you already. Around 120k. It was 14 years ago, I’m going from memory.

I will have to look at labours new bill in a little more detail before expanding the U.K. team.

Looks like they are cutting the 2 year limit to 9 months. I said I was ok with a year. It’s not far off. 9 months is enough to get a feel for someone.

The other “benefits” are just noise. Unpaid this and unpaid that.

It depends what processes are expected for post probation terminations within the first 9 months.

So high earning lawyers have seen pay rises of 70%

Nurses salary has increase from £21,200 to £23,600 so let’s say 20%

I think we’ve found the problem

You say that it’s not possible for pay rises…….it causes inflation you say. Interesting how that argument only applies to low wage earners.

Starting salary is almost £30K for newly qualified, average salary about £37K.

LOL Sadly for you one recently gave birth to my grandson. She also feels the catch that comes about from taking the gov's bursary route. Ok she can make up for that but the gain wont be much.

London pay scales are different.

Qualified nurse is band 4, note the word 'qualified' in my poast.

Always amazed me when calls were made years ago to tax service industry and postman tips as standard. But corporate events of free meals and events to the chosen few were not considered as benefits. Now there is a witch hunt to character assassinate people who accept hospitality. But only the people you can't influence.

a newly qualified band 5 nurse earnt around £25,000 in 2010

my point stands
The thing that got me was the shift pattern they are expected to work against salary. Hospitals do not have holiday periods. Another factor. It can also cause some to drop a shift for a better life style.

So there she is with experience a newbie appears. What do you think that does? Actually I blame the gov for slight drops in the curriculum with bursaries.

It seems some nursing body has also rejected the pay deal.

I only know 2 nurses, both are in the 40% tax bracket. One is management level, the other does agency work on every free shift.

The NHS are being robbed blind by the recruitment agencies supplying bank staff, the people running these agencies are making huge amounts of money.
That happens all over not just the NHS
