Ban on industrial action

Joe-90: Whilst I wouldn't disagree with the crazy salaries being earned in the legal profession, I can assure you that GP's do not earn £1000 a day ... If you can show me how they can I'll be speaking to the GP's I know ... I'm sure they'll all be delighted

Joe-90 ... It helps to read the full article rather than mis-quoting a piece from it.

Average GP salaries are around £120k gross though the report also gave evidence that some GPs are earning up to £250,000.

In my experience, the small minority of GP's who are capable of earning much higher salaries do so because of additional items of service they are able to provide such as minor surgery etc.

The vast majority earn a reasonable salary for the training they undertake and the committment which is required of them IMO.

As soon as GPs were given targets - their pay rocketed. Wouldn't you adopt the same attitude if you were a GP? That report was old. Many more are making big money for a ****-poor service.

Has your pay doubled in 6 years? Theirs has. The good old 'cartel' (BMA) strikes again.

There you go again ... Making it up ...

Facts, not the World according to Joe-90 please.

They are grossly overpaid for what they do. They are nothing but a triage service that sends sick people to hospital.

The Internet is the best GP in town (and don't the GPs hate it when you can outargue their prognosis and ask them questions they have no answer for).

Are you a GP?

Why don't you read the whole article then? That's where I quoted it from.

Save everyone a whole load of trouble (and £) then and don't go to see them when you are sick ... Just Google yourself a cure.

I have to see them to tell them what prescription I want.

I would advise anyone to seriously doubt what a GP tells them as they are hopelessly incompetent.

So now, not only do you Google yourself a cure, but you Google yourself a drug regime as well.

You then simply visit the local incompetant quack who writes out your prescription for you.

I would advise anyone to seriously doubt what you tell them as you are hopelessly deluded.

I'd guess your last Googled prescription went a little wrong ;)

If you want to believe what the dullards of Med School tell you - then you go for it. I've seen quite enough of the bumbling fools. Ask them about the biochemistry of the medicine they are prescribing and watch them struggle. It's actually quite funny. Better still when you explain to them how it really works.

Works for me.

Put it this way Joe-90 ... I'd sooner believe the Dullards from Med School if I'm facing a life threatening illness than trying to diagnose myself from Google or listen to you.
