Ban the Burkha?

i think that the majority of people in this country would like to see this garment banned and that includes muslims i have spoken to , i find it offensive , but it looks like we`ve had a new government but no actual change , they still aint listening................. :(

I say ban them, how can you say hi to a neighbour when you can't see their face?... was gonna walk round with a balli on but too old for that.

Why should i be made to feel uncomfatable with foreighners in my own country.? they won't wear it in theirs..................sp

A self confessed crim like you are is worse than any Muslim I've ever met. You should be in prison you 'berk-a'.

When I go to work I am expected to wear a suit and a tie. If I worked on a building site, I would be expected to wear protective garments. If I went swimming I would be expected to wear a swimming costume. If I failed to dress appropriately I would be told to leave these places.

Therefore, if someone wants to live in the UK, it isn't unreasonable to expect them to wear clothing that shows their faces, or just leave.

Hmmmmm ........... I think if you wore a swimming costume, you'd be asked to leave anyway

When I wear shades, I feel like I've protective sheath, so someone in undefined clothing, must be can't judge me by what I wear, or how I wear it?

But these outfits are forced on the wearers by their husbands? They don't wear them by choice, even though, when you see someone interviewed, they say contrary?

I think there is oppression there, really, unless someone that really stands out to defy the burka speaks out, so the reality is these women wear these because of the jealousy of their man. And in OUR culture, that's no good. If I was looking at your wifes t1ts, and you noticed, you would come over and say 'are you looking at my bird', and I'd say, she has nice t1ts, and depending how much was drunk, I'd either be beaten, or congratulated at the compliment. The former normally. But Muslim countries don't drink, so to look at anyone even in a leery way is odd for a Muslim?
