Bathroom extractor that closes and seals out drafts?

This one is in a WC-only room with no natural light.

I would have bought the delayed timer banana for the fan, had the delay been adjustable, but 2 minutes is pointless as that's less time than certain people take for a quick visit.

The timer run on module is adjustable for 1 to 30 mins

I meant the Delayed Timer Module - DTM. Just like the TM, only it doesn't kick in if the fan is only powered for a short time, to allow for "quick visits" without the fan starting up.

But unfortunately that "short time" is only 2 minutes, and many "quick visits" last longer than that.

Ahh you mean the following

I get what you are saying now.

TBH, it is a long time since a dump only took me 2 mins. Mind you, it is a long time since a pee only took me 2 minutes. In my local pub, the only two people that take longer than me to pee, both of them have stage 4 prostate cancer.

TBH, I went for the PIR/humidistat combo for removing smells and steam, but it, the Icon 60, is really loud. Granted it is only rated at 66.3W.

Ouch! That would seem to be far too big, for a normal, domestic bathroom.

I can't remember a time when I was that quick. Mug of tea, newspaper....

I saw a house once on Grand Designs, which was isolated and had a lot of land, and the guy built a semi-outside loo. It was indoors, but had one opening side, (or possibly one and 2 x halves in a U-shape) which he would open up if the weather permitted.

Timed myself earlier - I can be in and out in 2 minutes. Doubt any woman could.

Shame about the cancer - when are men going to recognise the signs in time?

To not have to fork out for the DTM module (i was not aware of the 2 min max time limit, this would have definetly sold it to me to implement my own solution), I fitted a Shelly 1 Mini Gen 3 device in the wiring that waits 10 mins upon power on and then turns on power to the fan, problem solved.
You can either control it through its own timers on the device or through Alexa or Home Assistant triggers.

On reflection, I guess I could have used an isolating switch which could turn it off when peeing.
wire it up to the toilet seat so when it's up it disables the fan :)

Sit down jobs extract as normal ..

I can be in and out in 2 minutes
Not a thread about your bedroom prowess, btw

Doubt any woman could.
Oh, how little you know!

Have you taken the opportunity to get checked?
