I believe strongly in free speech, but that speech
GBNews tried that. It cost one of its presenters £50'000 (so far - court costs had yet to be decided). An RWR opinion channel so wealthy that they even asked the presenter to stump up for the OFCOM fines.

What has that got to do with UK news - I asked you to show me where you get your unbiased UK news
Your question was where did I read about stuff that I can't necessarily read in the UK, even if it's about the UK .

You wanted some sources. They are on there

that GBN gives plenty of airtime to left wing commentators

And you don't have to look far into YouTube, to see them handing the thicko RW GBN presenters their backends.

A particular favourite of mine was, while trying to come across all clever with the guest, the (now former) Minister for the 18th century pointed out that "you don't make trade easier by putting up barriers with your nearest and biggest trading partners"......

...... without realising that he was fatally holing a cornerstone of his beloved Brexit (y)

So when can I expect to see BBC "verify" to be examining the budget or BBC fact check -- you know like this fact checked by BBC verify

Blimey you a fan of the BBC now ?? :ROFLMAO:
I grew up with the Beeb as one of only two news broadcasters, so yeah, i'm used to it as a news source and trust it to bring a range of news stories around the world to my living room, just as you do, i think. Radio4 news is basically the same, no?
Cable news in the 90s changed the way news was broadcast and then the spread of the Internet made it all kinds of simple to find news anywhere in the world. Australia; America, Canada and, of course, Al Jazeera in recent years have diffused news like never before.
Sometimes Aunty BeeB gets it wrong and makes mistakes but they'll 'fess up and sort it, unlike news vendors with lower standards who'll blithely spout misinformation and turn not a hair when caught out.
I've watched GBnews on some stories and it's no different to scanning a tabloid, but without a decent cartoon or a tricky crossword to break up the monotony. Hell, you can't even find a decent page three girl for a moment to please the eye, these days.

The beeb’s fact checking is a joke, they wheel it out for the biggest porkies, then interview someone who promptly disputes them. All they need to do is keep tne lying right wingers at bay and use journalists who are not afraid to call out the lies, thats balance

Ask them?
Oooh got another one to add to my list you are in at number 6

Yep forget it - its like talking to a knitted jumper. They come back with
1 "no it doesn't"
2 Utter nonsense.
3 Who are these you speak of?
4 It isn't being controlled by the lizards....
5 When did it say that
6 Ask them?
7 Then you will waste your time collating the proof and they will completely ignore it.
8 Then there are some on here who will completely make things up that you said and heavily edit your post to fit their point,
9 or will make things up that you are thinking and post them in quote marks like its something that you actually said.
10 Then there are those on here who deliberately try to antagonise the poster to try and get the thread shut down or the poster banned.
Its actually best just to not reply and let them takeover and have their own circular Wan# over the subject
