Blood test

My Mrs is a phlebotomist she does home visits for the elderly/disabled/vulnerable

She's a vampire???

I get the blood form from the hospital, for which, when I have a consultant appointment, I have to go to my local surgery to get my blood samples taken.

I have twice had my local surgery make the mistake, of mixing me up with AN Other, where I have had to ring them, to advise them of their error.

Maybe they have Bod confused with another?

She likes to think so.

Yes probably mixed him up.

Last time I had a blood test, my numbers had gone down - I was only 8.5% ABV.

I stood in line to report the mistake this afternoon. I got a wink from the receptionist but no applause . No one butted and eyelid apart from the receptionist.

Dear Bod
The doctor has referred you to the district nurse team to have a blood test on 12/12/23. They will visit you at home that day. If any problems please call the nurses directly on 0300 123 4567

Thank you- Medical Secretaries

"Why would they visit my home for a blood test?"

Because they know you are a vampire and hate the sun?

Bloods now booked at my surgery, and for a Saturday afternoon, on behalf of my hospital consultant - I have never known the surgery open on a Saturday, except for the special, long queue of covid and flu jabs.

The hospital sends out the blood sample bags, which I then have to take along to the surgery. They've done it before, and they have done it again - they sent two separate deliveries of bags, but not quite the same range of bags. I take the lot in to the vampire nurse, and ask her to decide what the hospital actually wants. Sometimes, one of the bags is for a urine sample, but to know whether one is needed or not, you need to understand the codes on the bags, which I don't. I'd much rather know, and arrive with a sample, than be under pressure to produce one there and then. Why can they not just include the word 'URINE', on the bag label?

Anyone know what the urine sample bag code is?

Better and more convenient than visiting the Hospital, we have any bloods done at home....£12.0 a time.

I've not heard of that sort of arrangement before. Is that NHS or private blood tests? Who do you pay the £12 to?

We use this service at the moment....

It now looks to be £15.00

I go to the vet to have my bloods taken.
