Haaaa haaa haaa .....being able to name a certain term for a particular stone and being actually capable of forming them are what sets the likes of you and me apart J(oke) Bonding... You clearly have not the first idea of how to form corner Quoins because after asking you now nineteen times surely you would have told us all.

J(oke) Bonding the man who sits at home all day because he is unemployed, or should that read unemployable. Claims to have been a plasterer for 18 years, yet in 18 years had not even heard of rough casting/harling /wet dash. He can blithely pat himself on the back cus he knows an obscure name for a stone but hasnt the first idea of one of the three basic mainstays of exterior coverings......Dont you just love delicious irony

//www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22747&highlight=harling

Incidentally the stone beneath the voussoir is called what can I ask you again....This joker stated there are three derivatives to ashlar. Keys, Quoins and the elusive voussoir. Unbenown to him there were many more which I kindly brought to his attention, that he clearly didnt even know existed..( quote there are three!!!) yet the ungratefull scamp didnt even express his gratitude as I did when imparted with the facts.

You have hardly imparted the glorious magnificece of momentous significance, so why the smug attitude? You want to learn the basics first Imposter before you go down the road of nameing inconspicuous entities, like how to wet dash.
This is an utter Turkey shoot....You are a third rate chancer without any work to keep you occupied, now you have been laid bare why dont you change your identity and pretend to be a carpenter, or brickie for to fill your empty little life....Because to everyone that has been reading this thread and getting belly laughs from your inane ramblings, the one and only hard and fast point is you aint a plasterer

quote legs, "Claims to have been a plasterer for 18 years, yet in 18 years had not even heard of rough casting/harling /wet dash." look at the post again, ive never had the chance not ive never heard of it ,lol the way you add your own bits is classic, the stone below the voussior? i dont think you really understand what it is properly.

quote legs,"This joker stated there are three derivatives to ashlar. Keys, Quoins and the elusive voussoir." bring that post up without adding the word derivatives. have you ever heard of the term compulsory joints?

quote legs"You have hardly imparted the glorious magnificece of momentous significance, so why the smug attitude? You want to learn the basics first Imposter before you go down the road of nameing inconspicuous entities, like how to wet dash." sounds like your trying to change the subject again.

oh im a plasterer alright and fully qualified, so theres no point pretending to be a carpenter freddie beat me to it and im sure id be caught out like you if i pretended to be something im not

Hey J(oke) Bonding you forgot all about telling us how to make Quoins so for the twentieth time.......Ahhh no just forget it, if you dont know you just dont know. B.T.W. ..the upright vertical stone or stones that make up the leg edge of the arch, or any parts below the springing line.....They are called Stilts, dont thank me, cus no doubt you already knew :D .
And yes I was indeed changing the subject to add a little variety to a thread that for me has now run its course, and to show you for the novice you truly are .............Cheerio Chancer!

If you need a job bring your home on wheels to the West of Ireland and I will make a proper spread out of you, as long as you promise not to steal all my tools!! ;)

Hey I will even teach you how to form Quoin stones.

quote legs"Hey J(oke) Bonding you forgot all about telling us how to make Quoins so for the twentieth time.......Ahhh no just forget it, if you dont know you just dont know." the twentieth time im sure the first 14-15 times was refering to waterproofer in the top coat on ashlar which i answered ages ago,

quote legs"Ahhh no just forget it, if you dont know you just dont know. B.T.W. ..the upright vertical stone or stones that make up the leg edge of the arch, or any parts below the springing line.....They are called Stilts, dont thank me, cus no doubt you already knew :D ."
i never answered you because you think voussoirs only appear in arches, because the link you found only mentioned arches, they appear above windows and doors so your question "Incidentally the stone beneath the voussoir is called what can I ask you again...." doesnt make sense, unless your refering to an arch but you never knew that.

quote legs "And yes I was indeed changing the subject to add a little variety to a thread that for me has now run its course, and to show you for the novice you truly are .............Cheerio Chancer!" its only run its course because you cant twist it anymore because your arguement doesnt stand up, start a fresh thread if your interested in something else.

quote legs "If you need a job bring your home on wheels to the West of Ireland and I will make a proper spread out of you, as long as you promise not to steal all my tools!! ;)"
ill rob half of them either the brush or the shovel. ;)
quote legs " Hey I will even teach you how to form Quoin stones.[/quote]" just post the link you found, on here ;)
