Figures I’ve seen indicate boat arrivals account for 81% of the illegal immigration numbers.

Which means that even if it were 100%, it would still be a small percentage of overall immigration...

It's all very well bandying about terms such as 'illegal', but could you tell us of a legal way of claiming asylum in the UK?

As per the thread title, this number has increased since Labour have been in power.

How long have Labour been in power?

And how much did overall immigration rise under those post brexit years of the tories being in power?

- intercept them and prevent them from entering UK territorial waters.
- detain them upon arrival
- make them ineligible for asylum claim
- Remove them to a safe 3rd country

Bearing in mind that several years is a much longer period to ascertain a true picture rather than only 6 months

Should the numbers go down in the next 6 months (relative to the same period last year) will you be claiming a labour success?

Compared with a net immigration figure of 2093 a day in 2023...
