Boat illegals up under Labour.

Well, just in case you're hard of thinking as well as hard of hearing, here it is.
Agree with all of that, don't you? I thought you wanted to stop the boats? I didn't hear day 1 mentioned though, did I miss it again? Silly me...

I don't see it in their manifesto either for some reason.

Never read there manifesto you obviously have ???? :giggle:

As a matter interest was the winter fuel allowance caper in it ???

making blunt comments like "stop the boats" are pointless, both immature and child like
no one want anyone to risk there life or break the law ----but thats a given all round so why say it
you will never ever stop people breaking the law all you can ever do is reduce to the maximum possible for the most sensible use off resources for what ever the crime
in the case off immigration via boats its less than 5% so minimum savings with massive effort
so increase the processing 4 fold and by 2 years the draw will reduce massively as the process will stop the "youve been here too long now" reason for granting asylum back to a sorry you dont comply for those with no good reason

Pressed by Sky presenter Beth Rigby whether this meant no flights at all he added: “I think the scheme is a gimmick. I’m not flogging a dead horse; I’m not prepared to do government by gimmick. I want to start on day one, not with flights taking off by absolutely investing my political capital in the law enforcement.

He said his focus would be on dealing with the issue at source by launching a security operation to tackle criminal gangs smuggling people across the continent, arguing this would act as more of a deterrent than the Government’s plan to deport people to Rwanda.

No, you are. I'm not playing your silly games with peoples lives.
You mean after you introduced sick children into the thread and then being put on the spot about the actual discussion you were having about housing and feeding either our own people or migrants? Rather than answer you decided to "stop playing". Righto. That’s the very definition of a swerve.

in the case off immigration via boats its less than 5%

Figures I’ve seen indicate boat arrivals account for 81% of the illegal immigration numbers. As per the thread title, this number has increased since Labour have been in power.

"The ONS does not publish data on the proportion of migrants who arrive in the UK “legally” or “illegally”. However Home Office data shows that in the year ending June 2024 there were 38,784 irregular arrivals detected, 81% of whom arrived on small boats'.

Which has resulted in a significant increase in boats.

But the leftie idiots on here think we should give him more time before we judge. A recent poll said 1 in 5 labour voters regret their vote already.

Nothing stops them from being “assisted” when they depart or once they are refused passage. Easy to take them to the nearest point of safety at that point.

I wonder which is closer for a vessel not in U.K. territorial waters…. Is it france? I think it is.

Nice try though.

So.. we are clear a coastal state has the right to prevent vessels up to no good, from entering its territorial waters. As per article 25 of the United Nations convention on the law of the sea.

We are talking about pushbacks, if a British vessel does a pushback, it is the nearest vessel to a small boat that might be deemed in distress.

International law of the sea says there is a duty to help a vessel in distress.

So whether it’s closest to France or not is not irrelevant.

Are you sure you are a competent sailer you don’t seem to understand the rules
