The surge of Turkish people has been fuelled by changes to the UK immigration rules which have seen the ending of a long-standing UK-Turkey agreement on work visas and a new post-Brexit regime that has lifted the cap on skilled workers from non-EU countries

ie the increase is due to work visas, not black economy
