Indeed, but what it doesn't add (and quite probably deliberately didn't add) is "...even if that results in non-compliance with explicit requirements of BS7671".A bit more than 'take account of'.134.1 .... Electrical equipment shall be installed in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the equipment.
There certainly is nothing to suggest that one can regard something as BS7671-compliant when it is overtly non-compliant with explicit requirements of BS7671, simply because of what a (maybe stupid!) manufacturer has written. Could this not be a problem for those belonging to registration schemes which insist upon BS761-compliance, if they obeyed MIs and thereby became non-compliant with BS7671 (if that situation ever arose)?
