Right then, an update on this. I had a plumber come round and fit a new heating pump, but unfortunately the problem remains The heating comes on for 20 minutes, and then the boiler stops firing and won't fire up again for around 4 hours. So I'm guessing the fault lies with the boiler. Need to get a heating engineer out now.
Yes I think so. Just seen this - 'Typically, boilers overheating due to fan problems will operate for 30-45 minutes before locking out'. Maybe that's the problem I have!
guessing isn't going to sort your problem out , maybe to start with take a video of your boiler when your boiler has locked out would be the way forward i suspect , if your not prepared to give accurate info then the best course of action would be to get a gas engineer
