Climbing a war memorial - not a crime

But you won't save anyone in this instance, so you're argument does nothing but scare crows.
It raises the issue to more prominent awareness.
I'm sure that was the intention.

Bit of a climbdown from saving lives, innit?
Careful atop the Cross, bloomers, the Gods are vengeful these days.;)
Raising awareness, especially with representatives, is one way of trying to save lives.
It's obvious we can't do anything more fundamental from here. But we can raise awareness, including how serious we view such loss of life.

If I could save the lives of women and children by doing so, I'd happily spray paint them a flourescent pink.

But your question is hypothetical, the war memorial in question was not in a churchyard, nor a cemetry.
I am sure most people would but as stated above it will do FA, may as well sit in the road and stop traffic to stop the world using oil, CND marches didn't work either.

Are you saying the police would act differently to those climbing the memorial, based upon.....what exactly? Would you give an example please?

Dunno plod don’t arrest people jumping into them fountains in central London at Christmas ?? Afaik

And some wonder why people are absolutely sick to death of our biased police and so called "justice" system
Looks like our biased police arrested them and got them to court.

Not sure what else they could do

'Raising awareness' is not the intention here though, is it. This is PR0TEST. Nobody has paid any attention to Palestinian issues while Israeli settlers attacked them and moved them out of their homes. Shall we call Hamas rockets a means of 'raising awareness'?

Leaving aside the argument of two tier policing or the police taking sides. I think there is an operational argument not to escalate during a protest of 300,000 which was not applied evenly to those expressing their opinions against the march. That is by definition going to be unfair.

We are still left with the position that the head of the met police is publicly, wrongly saying his officers had no power to act and is calling for more powers.

He looks a bit of a fool when people point out the widespread powers already in place.

It is worth listening to audio of the guy stopped for shouting terrorists off our streets. I heard it on the news and was surprised the officer did not agree with the man that Hamas are a terrorist organisation.

Don't forget the biased, the corrupt, the sex abusers and even the murderers in their midst.

If all those that felt so strongly climbed memorials, etc, the politicians may take a bit more notice.

Maybe the protests were late.
Is that a ringing endorsement to protest in good time, about issues that we feel strongly about, before they casue other issues?

I'm sure you're far more aware of his powers than he is.

Are you suggesting that the police should agree with some protests?
