Quicker, less stressful, simpler all round - to ventilate, trace the cause of the CO, and turn it off.

Odd, that they have come up with a manslaughter charge, so quickly?

They were calling it a CO leak earlier, now they are calling it manslaughter
They are not strictly calling it manslaughter; the deaths were still likely caused by a CO leak - the police have arrested a 60 year old woman on suspicion of manslaughter.
As the detective chief inspector said, this would also cover manslaughter by gross negligence...
“As part of our investigation, we have made one arrest to enable us to establish whether there have been actions or omissions which are grossly negligent and gather as much information as we can about what has happened.
And the arrest process allows certain legal pathways to be followed...
"It is important to note that the arrest process also provides certain legal protection to individuals and I would ask for the media and public to avoid speculating any further now that legal proceedings are active.

I bet the cause is anti semitism, no doubt Motorbiking will be along quoting some law that “proves it”

They say it’s a 60 year old woman. I know there are women gas fitters but seems unusual.
My post was mainly there to show Harry a link between CO, and manslaughter by gross negligence.
We have no idea if the 60 year old woman was a gas fitter or not, but possibly more likely, that she could be a manager/owner - the same applies regarding arrest due to suspected acts of ommission, or gross negligence though.
