So what is your solution for the UK. You mentioned before that you would like to see the Rwanda plan reinstated. Would you keep it as a small scale scheme and hope it acts as a deterrent or are you thinking about a massive expansion to accommodate thousands of migrants.

Some of those links are completely at odds with the Mail article. Seems she is concerned about complete closure of the border, not about deporting "rapists and criminals".

tbh I'm not getting into all that. In these threads it ends up going backwards and forwards cause never the twain shall meet etc.

Let's face it, we're not going to find the solution to these things in the GD section of a DIY forum ;) yeah we can have opinions and views, but I don't do the 1000 message to and fro.

I never do that. I always have a proper discussion. But I also take your point about the general dynamic.
 
Yes there are.

Unfortunately we have too many do-gooders defending the situation and lawyers looking to make big £££ doing everything they can to ensure we can't deport these people even when we want to.

I can guarantee one thing. The situation here in the UK will only continue to get worse, thanks to our ineptitude.

Remember the do-gooders who stopped the guy being deported? I think he was already on the plane. Turned out he was a wrong 'un. Well done do-gooders.

It isn't as clear as I had imagined. Republicans are challenging the meaning of "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" in the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
