I'm saying to you that Hillsborough was different due to some additional reason. Otherwise it would have happened regularly. What was that extra reason? What was the extra ingredient? Was it people pushing? If not - then what?

Have you not read my previous posts?

Too many fans for that stand with allocated tickets
Police errors in opening gates before closing the tunnel to pens 2 and 3
A man in charge of crowd control who had zero experience
Fans arriving late due to roadworks on motorway and police stopping coaches and cars checking for ticketless fans
23 turnstiles that could not cope with the 23000 fans expected
Pens 2 and 3 exceeding safety capacity

lots more technical reasons, but I can assure you that fans pushing was NOT any contributing factor, as proven by numerous reports, including the report published last week

You've never been to a football match - that's for sure. There was ALWAYS some form of pushing. Why didn't it happen the week before? Or the week before? At a different ground? If pushing wasn't involved - then what was? Where did the force come from? Do you really think that fans were going to stand in a tunnel for 90 minutes and listen to the game? FFS.

That is an excellent post, what you should have said....as I know what you thinking is

snico, you have got me on this one...I have nothing more to say.

When the pens 2 and 3 are full...the tunnel was always closed, the police didnt close it so fans had no idea what was happening in the pens, are you really that deluded?

and as for your question about why didnt happent the week before....that stand was never filled like it was on that fateful day. The largest and most successful team in the country with the biggest following where in town. Others days it was sometimes half empty.

And you are right about me never going to a game...the Season Ticket I have at Anfield is just an imaginary one  I have probably been to more games than you will ever go...and that is across Europe too.

Think its time now Joe, for you to just admit defeat again....you have not shown any valid points or any knowledge on Hillsborough. I hope I have educated you a little on the subject Joe.

Why was the outer gate opened?
Where did the lateral force come from?
Why did it never happen before? (Hillsborough had long been used for big games).

To relieve pressure outside, but it should have been opened AFTER the tunnel was closed

Lateral force comes from the momentum of thousands of people in a confined area. The police usher people forward, the momentum increases.

It did happen before, but the previous time the tunnel was closed and the right measure where taken, the where not the year after.

Are you taking notes Joe?

What pressure was present outside?

These 'ushered' people?? Are you for real?

They were trying to get to watch a game that had already kicked off.

It happened in Sheffield, not la-la land.

Guys don't jump on me .. I'm no expert on footie matches or Hillsborough.
But .. I saw it on TV and yes, I used to go to the odd footie matches before the crowd violence got too bad.
Wasn't the solution to that to put up the damn fences. A disaster waiting to happen. Whose stupid idea was that for helping crowd control.

Without knowing the in's and out's about tunnels, I saw it on the TV at the time .. and it was horrendous seeing all those injured fans lying on the pitch and not getting any emergency treatment. I shudder now just typing about it. It was awful.
And now it's been admitted there was a police cover-up I really feel for all those families who lost loved ones. Does it matter if a crowd pushes? Or just heaves due to the large numbers.
Fact is the crowd control killed them. The police covered up their ineptness to avoid blame.

Well .. that's how I see it.

Are you for real Joe....the crush started happening 40 mins before the game kicked off!!!!!

Read the report and watch the video clips....no more to say on the matter now, you have been proven wrong and still have this mindset that this report is trying to rid people of.

Your comment about people trying to watch the game that had already kicked off has done it for me now. I'm not going to debate this with you until educate yourself first....i'm beginning to think you are just trolling now.

I want you to tell me what the extra ingredient was that caused the problem.

A crush at the outer gate? That sounds like pushing to me.

A crush in the ground? That sounds like pushing to me.

So what was the 'something extra' that didn't apply year in year out at grounds all around the UK.
