This isnt a policy reversal, its a review of what can play to (potential) conservative voters. Lets create an American style of politics and concentrate on what divides people, it worked for brexhit (big divisions there still), and they think it will work after the Hillingdon by election because they scraped back in. He's doing what Trussed did in her leadershp campaign and playing to die hard tory members, rather than the country. The SPADs are running the show. But people do actually care about the environment.

Don't fret it Tory policy they change it with the wind - they have no policy other than to deflect, distract and demonise a group and stay in power.

In the long run we do need to become less reliant on the combustion engine and its better we start of this journey as it will give us a lead in the future when oil supplies become more and more scarce.

These should be long term policies removed from politics. Our politics is too short termist.
