80 seat majority is not convincing enough?
So only labour can chuck everything they stand for in the bin and completely reinvent themselves to attract votes? This isnt a policy reversal, its a review of what can play to (potential) conservative voters. Lets create an American style of politics and concentrate on what divides people, it worked for brexhit (big divisions there still), and they think it will work after the Hillingdon by election because they scraped back in. He's doing what Trussed did in her leadershp campaign and playing to die hard tory members, rather than the country. The SPADs are running the show. But people do actually care about the environment.
Blup
I didn’t frame it as a Brexit referendum. That had already taken place. It was an election to put into power someone with the balls to carry out the result of the referendum which Boris did with his 80 seat majority.if you want to frame it as a brexit referendum then far more people voted for parties not wanting Brexit.
And Brexit is still not sorted and Brexit is still just as shít.80 seat majority.
It didn't give him the power to act illegally in order to get it done. But that is what he did.The 2019 GE was about one thing and one thing only - giving Boris the power to carry out the result of the referendum. You know that. Everybody knows that. Wake up.
And with his illegal connivings.I didn’t frame it as a Brexit referendum. That had already taken place. It was an election to put into power someone with the balls to carry out the result of the referendum which Boris did with his 80 seat majority.
The Tories' policy is to take away our freedoms by banning the sale of ICE vehicles from 2030. Now they're saying they might let you have your freedom to buy an ICE vehicle a little longer. Amazingly this slight of hand is working for them and helping to change their election chances for the better.
But it seems this reprieve and change of heart may all be the con we'd expect. Read the other day that by 2030, car manufacturers will only be able to sell 20 % of their production as ICE vehicles. So though nominally we may have the right to buy an ICE vehicle, there won't be many available.
That’s a fair point but starmer has approached it methodically not out of desperation. Launching lifeboats is more desperate than avoiding the icebergSo only labour can chuck everything they stand for in the bin and completely reinvent themselves to attract votes?
Politicians do have to try to come up with policies that people will vote for.
Unless they are Liberal Democrat.

He was also pretty ruthless with the old guard.
You tried to claim it was proof there was majority support for Brexit in 2019I didn’t frame it as a Brexit referendum. That had already taken place. It was an election to put into power someone with the balls to carry out the result of the referendum which Boris did with his 80 seat majority.
That didn't turn out to well for Boris, now did it. Why get rid of all the sensible people in government and replace them with sycophantic idiots? He was also pretty ruthless with the old guard.
