Don't delay reforms to prepare for next pandemic, WHO chief says

The head of the World Health Organization urged countries on Monday to carry out reforms needed to prepare for the next pandemic, hailing their "historic" decision to accept a major budget hike at the U.N. agency's annual assembly.

Any organisation worthy of its reputation plans for potential disasters.
For predictable disasters there'll be a dedicated emergency action plan, with the facilities to carry it out already in existence, even mothballed until it's required.

The only disaster was the government panicking and shutting the country down needlessly.

This enquiry is nonsense, they're looking at the detail of HOW whatever was done and are deliberately keeping away from the fundamental issue of WHY it was all done.

If everyone wastes their time moaning about delays, fraud and parties then this is a perfect distraction from the facts that the country's bankrupt and mental and physical health was massively damaged, all by the lockdowns not by the virus.
