Nothing left to say..Its History..Move on.You do not want Brexit.I do..You think you right.I don't.Such is Life.

Sadly DP you are wrong it is not history....brexit trading hasnt even started

the EU is the UK largest trade partner by a country mile -if you think its a done and dusted deal you are incredibly naive

UK EU negotiations will go on for a decade.....and the UK will rebuild a closer relationship with the EU

Not long. When the lorries start building up on the French side of the channel, when the holiday bookings in Europe fail to materialise, when the foreign fishing boats come back empty, when the French farmers start rioting.......

This is more absurd logic. If you don't want a deal and don't want to trade with the EU, then why not just leave.

If you want to play it out in the hope you can get a better deal - how much uneccessary pain are you willing to endure? Hit to GDP, economy, jobs? Can you tell me how much we should endure in the hope of getting a deal?

This deal only covers goods.

Mottie has already told us he doesn't care.

You won't get any sense out of him.

Its interesting how brexiteers think "brexit is done, once Jan comes its all over"

What do they think happens to that £700 billion of trade?

What I’m saying is I’m happy for the U.K. to sell goods to Europe. I'm happy for the EU to sell goods to the U.K. I just don’t want all the other **** that goes with it.

Mottie says he is pleased with all the brexit red tape and all the *** that goes with it

hey Mottie how did "all the other *** that goes with it" actually affect you in any way whatsoever?

I have yet to hear a single brexiteer tell me how the EU directly affected them negatively...

They won't say...

Why is that I wonder?

There could be an explosion of smuggling post Brexit.
It could be more than illegals who cross the channel in small boats.
Brandy from France just like the olden days, Whisky going in the other direction, if people want stuff they will always get it no matter what politicians do.

Europeans took a fair chunk of our housing stock, filled our schools and hospitals and bled our benefits system.

I've told this story before, so you're not being accurate with this statement.

The EU ruled that overtime should be considered when calculating holiday pay. They made the ruling retrospective which allowed employees to claim for historic holiday pay.

Whether you agree with overtime being included in holiday pay, it wasn't the contractual arrangement that most companies had in the UK and nor was it custom and practice. Yet the ruling applied.

The UK government were able to limit the retrospective claims to 2 years. Still cost me personally around £10k for the two years retrospective claim.

That specific enough for you?

filled our schools and hospitals with much needed workers you mean

and paid more in taxes and NI than they cost (which is not the same as our ageing indiginous population)

I'm glad you mention the very poor performance of the UK in building homes. I wonder where the government in charge resides?

Well bless my soul, who could have seen that coming?

"Tories fail to build any of 200,000 starter homes promised in 2015, says watchdog

National Audit Office says no starter homes have been built despite election pledge

Successive Conservative governments have failed to deliver a single new “starter home” despite promising to build 200,000 by 2020, Whitehall’s spending watchdog has found.

The party’s 2015 manifesto committed to building the homes across England to be sold exclusively to first-time buyers under the age of 40, to help young people take their first step on the property ladder.

The National Audit Office (NAO) said that, to date, no such homes have been built because the government has not budgeted for them or activated all of the necessary legislation."

must have been a great disappointment to Tory voters to be let down like that.

Luckily none of them have grandchildren who hope one day to have a home of their own. Like Mottie, they don't care.
