No I'm saying UK employees are more attractive because UK employment law gives employers flexibility. I can hire a UK worker with zero risk and if they don't perform within the first 2 years I can terminate the contract. In most parts of Europe that probation is less than 6 month and in many areas, I have to compensate them for the loss of their job.

Afghanistan to the UK by boat would be quite a challenge notwithstanding the ~500 miles of land before you get to the sea. Surely there must be somewhere closer that is safe?

The public had real concerns - Tory austerity wasn't working and will never work so to placate them they throught up the plan of Brexit to solve all the ill - blame them on the EU when they were home grown issues.
We have had Brexit and the issues still persist as we have the same Government and policies. Until you change the direction of the UK government nothing will change and the biggest obstacle to that is the Media convincing people there are simple solutions to highly comples supranational problems.
You can go to a Dr with cancer and be told the truth that chemotherapy is nasty or you can go to a holistic medicine practioner and drink some raw unprocessed vegetables - the choice is yours but don't complain when you pick the faith healer.
