IIRC ISDN and Home Highway lines don't support ADSL, so they are limited to two channels at 64 Kbits each, and you can't run voice and data over the same channel at the same time.
These days that's snail's pace compared with a broadband connection superimposed on an analogue line, hence the demise of the Home Highway products.
(They seemed marvellous when a 'high speed' analogue modem worked at 9600 bits per second.....)
So that leaves us with a seperate physical line, Call Sign or Voice over IP.
