That bloke on the injury compensation advert has me shouting at the telly everytime he's on. The one who was given the wrong type of ladder.

"...and their solicitors got me seven and a half thousand pound"

IT'S POUNDS YOU *#*%!!!! DON'T THEY TEACH PLURALS TO THIRD RATE FIRE ALARM INSTALLERS!! STUPID TW@!!!!

About that advert - if he was installing a fire alarm, what was he doing up a ladder outside the building?

And on another note, Why do people who live in Bath think they live somewhere called Barth? Its not on any maps I know of. THERES NO R!

Regional accent changes corrupt words, i agree.

But the 'th' in think is at the beginning of the word.

It is a deliberate mispronunciation rather than a dialect or sound change.

Probably went to the Arthur Mullard school of elocution.

He's a footballer, he doesn't know any better. He won't be speaking correct Queen's English, like woot I doos moi babber!

Are you saying that the inability to pronounce the sound 'th' is accent related?
I am suggesting that most Southerners do not come from Barking. It is foolish to suggest that all Southerners might talk the same.

In Luton, they have 24 letter alphabet.

No H and no T.

When I work there, if football is the topic most love watching the 'a errs'.

With Londoners, (well proper cockneys) they do prenounce words properly, but its the phrases that get me. Mind you, they are easier to decipher than West Glasgow. (If you have ever lived there).
Paul.

Just spent 2½ weeks working in Wigan and it was hard work!
Not the job, understanding the locals!
Its only about 15 miles away but its like a different country!
A lot of 'T' and 'H' dropping but also a lot of different words for different objects/places etc.
In fact so many I can't even remember them!
