Do Black Holes really Exist?

definition of divide is to cut it (any number or anything for that matter) into any further number of parts, where it is possible. ( FOR EXAMPLE YOU CANNOT CUT OR DIVIDE AN ATOM INTO two further parts ) (sorry for the caps)

1 divide by 1 equals 1

That's about two and a quarter inches on my screen. It would be longer if I made the font larger.

So, if your answer is correct, that is if it is correct, how long does it then take to divide 2 by 1?

You can, as I understand it they're made up of protons, neutrons and electrons. Protons and neutrons can be divided into quarks, I don't know what comes after that.

Do you really really really wanted to know the truth, No one has managed to date divide anything by 1 so far, so God knows how the heck you got your answer. You must be God's best friend!

True Definition of Division is cutting anything or any number by any other number apart from 1, you cannot divide by 1, you try and cut 1 into 1 or 2 into 1 and you will fail. So in other words any number you divide by 1 will be the same, so you don't even try, And yet you can divide anything by zero, and annihilate the thing into non-existent. However, the definition is somewhat confusing as well, since if you tried dividing 2 by 2, you get 1, here the division actually works the opposite, instead of cutting you are patching two things into 1! however, if you divide 2 by 3, you are cutting it! so in other words, if you divide any number by itself you are patching it into 1.

So the answer would be zero time. Since you cannot cut anything by 1, so you would not even attempt and so it should not take any time.

Eh?

I guess if you were very desperate, and you managed to cut an atom into further smaller bits, you would end up with a different substance altogether, you would loose out the originality. Thought an atom was the smallest indivisible particle of an element. (based on my 0 level physics)

Probably God.

I agree, I just used that as an example, dividing can have so many meanings, to dived means to split, either in equal parts or in any other ratio, and so on.

I was just thinking about Division and suddenly it struck me you can't Multiply anything with 1 either, so you now have two new rules in your maths,
1. you cannot divide anything by 1. Because you need not bother, the result won't be any different to when you started.
2. same way You cannot Multiply anything with 1.

Its like you cannot clean a clean window, can you, you will just waste your energy!

Now then - you are using the concept of a multiplicative "identity", which most certainly does fit the bill ;)

Now here I agree: it will only get dirty again.

Same with cars, although I sometimes make an effort to clean the windshield.

Now this can be rather another interesting division question:

Can you divide your girlfriend/wife, if so , by how much? Now please don't try to cut her! This was an example where division does not mean cutting, but sharing!!

Like you can divide your love equally amongst your children.

Oh and don't forget how the religion divides us, at times it cuts through societies, almost literally!

I have a feeling that a galaxy is a mini universe in its own right, so when some scientists believe that every galaxy has a black hole, then here is your clue that may be it is the black hole which gives each galaxy a birth, when it swallows all planets and stars in its own galaxy, it becomes so bottled up, and stops just short of exploding outwards, until another planet or a star reaches its territory from another galaxy and when it swallows this star, this tips the balance (or exceeds the bottled up threshold) and the whole thing explodes once again into another new galaxy and life starts once again.

Hence galaxies may be drifting randomly or in a defined path, and as we already know giant galaxies can swallow smaller galaxies and become even bigger galaxies.

So perhaps Universe was never born, rather each galaxy as a small universe in its own right existed for a time then got annihilated by its own black hole and then born again and the cycle of mini universes being born and annihilated continues, and has always done so and not just for the last 13.8 Billions of years ago, perhaps for ever. So only each galaxy has a beginning and an ending.

And for religious people there may be more than one God who resides in each galaxy in the middle of this black hole, hence that explains why we have so many different religions, as some prophets may have come from different galaxies to preach various religions.

Something to ponder about!
