Some good news though is that we are seeing a peak in the amount of stuff that people will buy. This will help to ultimately limit growth in the long term.

Unless every single human being dies then this won't be the last epidemic. Ending epidemics is firmly science fiction right now.

Reducing the chances of them and improving our ability to identify and treat them are very different things though. And in my humble opinion, well worth work and investment.
