Dominic Raab. How long has he got.......

I don't know anything about Raab, all British politicians are the same and are irrelevant, but I gather that he is being touted as some kind of no-nonsense get-things-done type.

I doubt it! It's a storm in a teacup designed to make us think there is a left and a right.

All British politics since Tony Blair's New Labour is the continuation of Tony Blair's New Labour. Our so-called Conservative government takes some of its policies off the shelf from Blair's "Institute for Global Change". Watch...

I don't know anything about Raab

I believe you.

Did you know the far-right fringes of politics push the idea that established democratic parties are all the same. Can't make any difference, they say. No point voting for them, they say. And they are attracted to a dictatorship that will wipe out the traitorous citizens who do not conform to the ideal, and are unfairly receiving the same rights as the one true folk? Unfairly using the country's courts? Expecting the protection of the law, and the right to live and work, despite being "different"?

Sounds familiar?

Our current Foreign Secretary is the mis-named Cleverley

Our previous Foreign Secretary was the idiot Truss

Raab stayed on holiday during the Afghanistan evacuation, when dogs were flown to Britain, and army interpreters were left behind.

Before that was notorious liar, racist and incompetent Johnson.

Clearly, our government does not consider foreign affairs to be important.

Or perhaps the barrel of Brexer politicians is so shallow that they can't help scraping the bottom.

Have a look at this to see how the allies of the hard right would treat europe:

The myth that europe is our enemy and the usa (or at least its alt right republican elements) our friend.

Blup

Now the civil servants have drawn blood bullying Raab out of a job they've turned their attention to Steve Barclay to bully out of a job. Apparently he's a micro manager.

Micro manager = nit picking PitA.

Mind you, i was intrigued to hear one of the talking heads on BBC news defend Raab, saying he did a good job organising things when he was in #10 while Boris coughed up a lung during Covid.
