Dry shave before, or after shower?

I still use the old double sided drop in blades. The blades work out to 10p each and last at least two shaves (ie about 2 months).

I can't use electric or gazillion blade options because I shave so infrequently. I do however use the King Of Shaves non foaming gel. I find that it doesn't suck the moisture out of my skin. I used to buy their 15ml bottles of oil, but it took longer to clean the basin.

I got on a bus a couple of years ago, I wasn't quite 50 at the time but I hadn't shaved for about 4 weeks (and yes, my beard is graying). A muslim school girl got up to offer me her seat. Whilst I was impressed that she did so, I declined her generous offer... and shaved that evening.
