Very sad to see a sporting tournament designed to bring people together being contaminated by hypocritical assholes using sport to advertise their political prejudices.
I like to watch sport as an antidote to the constant stream of political propaganda from the so called MSM but its seems even sport is no longer considered a no go area for the special interest groups and political **** stirrers.
Why don't they put their money where their mouths are and either refuse to play and donate a large chunk of their fortunes to the people they are protesting on behalf of.

Morocco won the game.... why would they riot?
If you read the story then you'd see the explanation at the end...

Morocco's victory...was enthusiastically celebrated by Moroccan fans with immigrant roots in many Belgian and Dutch cities.
I'd say the locals weren't happy about it.

Your correct I didn't read it. I just saw it on the news.

Was that reported?

No idea, i'm not paying much attention to tv news with the WC on all day - i'm getting most of it online. I thought Euronews would have something but no, not a squeak. AP is much closer to Reuters, i think, so their newsfeed is faster than most.
Police don't muck about over there. Too damn quick on the draw with that water cannon for my liking. Good job Boris never got his mitts on one.

I like a tough police force..... dealing with this scrum they should be all masked up and wade in properly. That'll put the wind up them

Bad losers

Police detained about a dozen people after they deployed water cannons and fire tear gas to disperse crowds in Brussels and eight more in the Northern city of Antwerp. Two police officials were injured in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam. By late evening Sunday, an uneasy calm had returned to most of the cities involved.

Well I went back and read this and another news outlet.

I know little about these countries and assumed There would be Moroccan community's in both country's as its an old French colony. So thought it would be Moroccans rioting. I can't see were blame was pointed at Dutch or Belgian fans.

I found fan-film before the incident but it doesn't show how it started and the only other footage to be found is during the riots, so i'm assuming Belgian fans didn't like the Moroccan celebrations in their country and kicked-off...more @AlJazeera.com

This report by AlJazeera never pinpointed who the hooligans were.

They did say
"The Belgian mood was in sharp contrast to Morocco, where people spilled out into the streets of Rabat for spontaneous celebrations that included dancing, singing and waving of Moroccan flags, while drivers honked their horns as they drove through the streets."

It doesn't state any Moroccan fans were attacked... or mention racism!

I know, it's all ambiguity but what would cause a riot in such circumstances; too much joy?
There's always one...but which one?
My money's still on a bunch of Belgium fans unhappy at all those dancing Moroccans.

Have you seen English fans when they win?

Why are the Dutch fans getting involved.
My money is that it was Moroccan fans rioting
