Quite a dumb thing to say, especially for a football fan. No football player or team in their right mind would intentionally yellow card himself at the start of a world cup match. They might as well do their protest and give the result to the opposing team, before kick-off.

Yes, but if your whole teams starts a game with yellow cards, it is very likely some will be sent off before the match is over.
