EU being spiteful again?

Anti-EU moaning old gits frantically digging out anti EU vids. Lol.

Brexit and brexiteers - what a pile of poo.

Removing brexit and anti EU rhetoric from the equation,

The EU citizens must be extremely confused,

One minute the AZ vaccine is the one to save us all and we can't get enough of it so we must stomp our feet and shout,

Then it's no good for over 55's, then it is, then it isn't, then it's causing blood clots, no it isn't, yes it is, then there is crying that other countries are taking our vaccine from us and we need it, then maybe it does cause blood clots again but there is no evidence to the fact, but we'll pause the roll out anyway..

In the mean time very few citizens are arriving for the jab,

Italian MP's are saying the decision made is political and not technical, then you have other EU leaders saying it's not political it's a safety protocol.

No wonder the poor EU citizens are in despair, at every turn they are confronted with conflicting information,

It's also adding to the anti vaxxers cause...

With all this theatre created no one in the EU is going to trust the AZ vaccine, the well has been poisoned

With all these new variants popping up, it's a very silly situation the European leaders have put themselves in.

It's not Britain's fault and it's not AZ's fault

actually I think it is being driven by the people -they arent turning up for their AZ vaccine.

there is far higher vaccine concern in Europe esp in France and Italy -which is a real shame as they may be facing another wave.

also the decision making has been done by the precautionary approach -but without balancing the risk of death or illness form covid.

we cant really compare UK to EU due to population size
EU have vaccinated 50 million -but still poor compared to USA who have done over 100 million

It's only the EU country leaders that are to blame for people not turning up for vaccines, there toxic rhetoric of misinformation is ruining support for it.

..., and incidentally, Italy have conceded that their decision to ban the Astra vaccine was 'political'.

For what reason?

How would I know their reasons for politicising it, ask the Italians.
Politics threaten to cloud EU countries’ pause of Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine – POLITICO
I think fillyboy's thought processes are severely faulty.
He claims the Italians are politically motivated for an action, but he has no explanation for why that would be.
Fillyboy, "Doctor, I think our neighbours are aliens"
Psychiatrist, "why do you think your neighbours are aliens?
Fillyboy, "How would I know, ask the neighbours."
Psychiatrist, "OK, do you mind if I book you into a secure mental health unit and we'll schedule some more sessions, quite a lot more sessions?"

Psychiatrist, "Nurse! Bring some security with you."

Getting there. Unfortunately, Brexit spite is building momentum. Hell hath no fury like a Union scorned.
Is that the feeling in UK? EU have moved on. The general EU population was never bothered anyway, apart from thinking it's UK committing economic suicide.

Notch providing his normal useful input again.

If you look up the definition of strawman, it basically defines Notch.

And if the Jocks don’t like it. Remember this??!!

You should check your facts, especially those provided by fillyboy:
Some U.K. critics are therefore concluding that the suspension must be political
British right-wing newspapers pounced on the disconnect Tuesday, blasting the decision of countries such as Germany, France, Spain and Italy to pause vaccinations as "shameful" and "reckless."

brexiteers/little englanders don't just want to 'take back control' ( ), they also want to see the destruction of the EU as well...

So why should they care about a club they've left?

Unless of course deep down brexiteers realise they've been incredibly stupid!

To be frank, due to the underlying political sentiment in the UK the EU is better off without the UK.
(well the england/wales bit of the UK)

There might be some truth in your comments.
UK against the twenty seven individual countries could possibly compete on an equal footing. But against the combination of those member states, i.e. the EU, they're minnows in a big river.

Apologies, the head the the medicine regulator in Italy said it was political.

Did you see the bit I highlighted in red?
I repeat what I've said before, it's a normal medical practice to suspend treatments/vaccines that are suspected of being unsafe, until they have been investigated.

Yes but this has been inspected over a couple of weeks now and everyone says the blood clot cases are lower than what would naturally normally be associated with a pool of people as large as this.

Even the EMA say there isn't an issue, but due to so many countries now pausing the use of it they have said they are looking at the data again but still do not see a cause for concern.

I completely agree. Its too late now for the AZ vaccine in some European countries. The reputation damage is done. Even in the UK people are worried about getting the AZ vaccine because its "less effective" or "causes blood clots". Political leaders need to take personal account for the likely death toll.

Even saline increases the risk of blood clotting, but would anyone turn down a Saline IV due to a blood clot risk? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7000224/
