Evolution part II

in the past 6 thousand years of history, we havent changed not one bit, other than in technology, and knowledge. but still got a pair of lags, arms, eyes, heart
head, nothing has changed.

I think you'll find that some of us have changed colour, in the northern latitudes we need more sunshine for our vitamin D, i think white skin absorbs 10X that of black skin, i'm sure someone will google and correct me...

There's no such thing as 'nothing' even a vacuum has quantum fluctuations, particles appearing and annihilating each other within an instant.

According to inflation theory it was one of these which might started the whole shebang, one famous quote reads "The universe is the ultimate free lunch". Do a google on that one.

Yep, I think that's what Hawking Radiation is all about.

Weird stuff is this quantum mechanics. It's all to do with probability, so given enough time, anything that is possible will happen. The universe appearing from nowhere might be considered inevitable because the maths demands it - though it's all getting a bit much for me when it gets that involved.

. but we still got same two lungs, legs, ears ect
there is not a dimple of a change. evident.

OK then, all dogs have 4 legs, a tail, 2 ears, 2 eyes, etc etc. You telling me that they haven't changed from their original wolf ancestors ?
I did point out to Joe earlier, that even though our diet is now a lot better than our predecessors, this change of diet should only make us healthier, not taller. (although I will concede, it's made Americans, fatter. )

I think that that's specific to black holes and shows that given enough time (zillions of times the age of the universe) they will dissolve away. Or something like that.

Yep, but the two particles are created as you describe, from nowhere. There have to be two (one anti the other) for the conservation laws to be obeyed.

The thing is, if one of them is really really close to the black hole it gets sucked in. The other one is just far enough away to escape.

So they don't recombine and annihilate each other as normally. One particle appears as radiation which appears to come from the black hole. It's Hawking's best shot at a Nobel Prize.

All the conservation laws still apply of course. And the really weird thing about that is the black hole will lose mass - even though it's just swallowed a particle. The mass is lost via the particle that escapes, and never actually went into the black hole in the first place.

It's weird weird stuff, but all obeys the laws of physics, so it's quite OK.

(and I had to google how to spell annhiailate)

fatter and wider.

the body can acclimatize whithin safe limits, to the enviroment you live in

as said still same phisically , you would have to change the dna, and that is a very dangerouse thing to do. they cant re write dna , its to complex. you leave alone or
mess it up for good.

Meanwhile in Gotham city so to speak.....

OK Lets take our universe, our big bang, and print it on a piece of A4, that is our universe, i've got it on the table in front of me, now lets bravely go where no man has gone before, Joe69's house, what does his sky look like if it was on the same scale, has he had a big bang in his universe lately? Will Joe dissolve or fade away??

Chance would be a fine thing..

You guys make me laff banging on about mathematics before the universe was formed. Worra joke. Your maths and supercomputers can't even tell me what the weather will be like on Sunday afternoon.

May I just point out that whoever started this thread (sorry, I can't be bothered to look) chose and excellent subject for us to argue about.

No-one can prove that there is a God. There is no evidence.

No-one can prove that there isn't a God. There is no evidence to prove that either!

All we can argue about is opinions. There is no indisputable evidence either way.

Edit: No, I couldn't resist it. It was Pred. And it was worth the look for the excellent joke!

go to a florist a check out the flowers,or a garden center, whith all the variety of plants and flowers, that are nice to look, and smell, fresh.

whan you eat, diont you enjoy it,not just becuase you have to eat but its a pleasure.
theres plenty of things in this world, that prove it was made for our pleasure, as they say the best things in life are free.

When the argument's lost the abuse begins.

But it's not the same physically. We are approx 4" taller than we were 200 yrs ago. Something has changed, within our genetic make up otherwise we'd all be just over 5ft tall today. You just don't see it do you B&B, but scientists and researchers do see the changes. (or is it a case of ignoring the evidence because it contradicts your own?? )

It's because kids today are given better diets as they grow up. In a few years when food is scarce we'll start to shrink again. Kids reach puberty faster today (so I'm told) for the same reason.

So, if I'd given my Collie, the finest food when he was a puppy, he'd have grown taller than he is now ?? Hmmmm just don't think so. There has to be more than just diet at work in us humans Joe. I don't know exactly what has spurred on this growth, but evolution is something to do with it.

No it isn't. Kids in famished lands aren't growing.
