Farage is interfering in foreign politics

What I will say about Trump, he is the classic C-level psycho - very good at making everyone try to please him. Even China danced when he called.

Not sure that I agree with that. He promised a trade deal with China- he told Xi that he would turn a blind eye to what was happening in Hong Kong in return for a trade deal. There was no trade deal.

The only "hostile" state that he regularly maligned throughout his presidency on Twitter was Iran. He warned them that if they retaliated following the drone strike on general Soleiman, he, Trump, would target 52 Iranian sites of cultural importance. They called his bluff and openly fired missiles at the Al Asad US airbase in Iraq. Over 100 US personnel had to be flown to Germany to be treated. What was Trump's response? He downplayed the injuries as headaches and immediately ceased to goad Iran on Twitter.

His lovefest with "little rocketman" in North Korea also failed. He was advised to not engage with them, but believed that he was the Great Negotiator and that Kim would bend to his will. Kim broke off the bromance and went back to firing missiles. Trump went quiet overnight.

The guy is unhinged. The likes of Putin/Xi/Kim soon realised that they they could massage his ego to their ends.

He did however manage to damage relations with countries such as Denmark because they were not willing to sell Greenland. He went as far as cancelling a state visit.

In life, business politics etc, you should avoid making enemies with people who may have power, unless you are confident of a win. You've got to stand back from your hatred of Trump and realise that the party of government should be careful how it behaves. The same applies to current government ministers tweeting trash talk about him.
World leaders respect the position of the POTUS. Very few respect Trump. Merkel had the right approach and treated Trump like a small child.

If he wins you will see them all bending over backwards to secure a meeting to tell him what a lovely shade of orange he is. If he loses it wont matter.

I worry he will win.

Bad news for Britain and bad news for Ukraine.

If Trump wins, the UK government, regardless of party, will have to deal with his promised tariffs of 10-20% on our exports to the USA. I honestly cannot understand why any Brit thinks that a Trump win will be good for us.

Don't we get a preferential Brexit trade deal? :ROFLMAO:

In truth most US presidents just suffer this damp, has-been little island. Bush Jnr was almost mocking in his "yo Blair!" moments. Obama made no secret of his antipathy towards UK and Biden is an Irish Republican sympathiser.

Trump is the least of our worries. At least he has connections to UK, seems to like some aspects of it enough to invest big money in Scotland.

Seem to remember the Con/Lib Dem coalition bunch of amateurs mocking and slagging off Trump when he was running for Pres. Then he won.

Thought at the time it didn't seem wise to belittle someone who might just become President. Just goes to show the calibre of people now running UK. Must have made for some very awkward meetings with The Don.

Yes there's a large dose of rose-tinted glasses about my following statement, however what I find quite disappointing/sad is the way in which their election contest has been run. All the anger, all the vitriol, all the name calling. How the heck any country is supposed to 'come together' when their leaders or would be leaders act in such a manner is beyond me.
