fittings for flexible conduit

I had to use the corrugated fitting suggested earlier. This screwed on to a female connector. I then needed a short bit of rigid pipe to go from the female connector into one of those round box connectors.
Could we have a pic of that please?

That's the proper way to do it (y)
But a clumsey arrangement, imagine the sheer bulk of of putting 4 flexies into a 4 way box, that's probably more than a foot end to end, side to side without allowing for any required bend radius.

Would it need Earthing ? I assume it's no more than 24VOLT
Rereading it possibly, depending on what type of alarm and whether it's a mains supply or not. I was talking about the general principle though. Caution is necessary when inserting conductive components into the middle of the run.

Just been chatting to a friend who used to work at a wholesaler, he recons the larger size came about to stop materails that couldn't be solvent welded like nylon (OP's example) being 'glued' into conduit fittings and then falling out.

That makes sense to me (although I wonder if it's more to do with making one purchase fittings).

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
