'Flag sneering'

I 'liked' tweets today that were offensive in nature about the use of the British flag as a backdrop in a government interview this morning. I have since removed these 'likes'. This do not represent the views of me or the BBC. I apologise for any offence taken. Naga

Additionally, the use of the flag as some pretence for 'patriotism' even though one's actions are not patriotic is obvious.
The adoption of certain flags by such organisations as National Front, etc, is testament to that exploitation of symbolism for perverted intentions.

Fair comment.

And here he is left hanging:

He's only got a little one, unless you think he speaks with a forked tongue.

Have you ever seen it? Or is that just a made-up RWR taunt?

Mottie claimed to have seen it the other morning but I have never seen her flag.

But that is proof of nothing.

It is the hypocrisy of the Beeb that gets me, I couldn't care less at someone mocking the flag or laughing at the ridiculousness of having the queens portrait hanging up on their wall. But just imagine for one second (as bodd points out) the outrage if the beeb interviewing a muslim or indian family and had then went on to make skitty remarks about about items of their culture they may of had in their homes. They would probably be down the cop shop on hate related charges.

I'm not that fussed either I just want consistency and a ballance. I'm all for taking the pîss out of one another... All in good humour I'll add its hatred I object too.
