Flood - tractor driver

A friend of the man, said to be a landowner in the market town, issued an apology on his behalf on social media, while others said he "did something without thinking". Another friend also took to social media on the man's behalf, writing: "I have been asked to pass on a message of apology from the driver of the tractor.
Nice for his friends to apologise on his behalf. Very thoughtful of them.

I'm quite sure it's illegal to carry passengers in a tractor, certainly children.
Children yes, but many tractors have second seats which can be used by an adult. Farmers kids will learn to drive tractors well under the age of 17 but off road. Hopefully the driver was tested for drink or drugs but his identity seems to be protected by the community

Her tax avoidance was out of time, her offences were out of time and I predicted it would go nowhere. You think that makes her "found innocent". Irrelevant to this thread.

You are suggesting he wasn't aware of what he was doing, I would suggest that without doubt, he well knew what he was doing and carried on regardless.
Do people who race on the highway and crash get prosecuted for criminal damage? Dangerous driving absolutely.

I thought you said there wasn't any damage caused, or not identifiable
I said I hadn't seen any damage that could be quantified as specific to his act. I also said it would be difficult to prove that he caused it.

For the civil claim (damages)
The first thing his insurance company will do is put the claimant to strict proof.
