Well done Blackpool once again! I think I predicted a draw didn't I? Diane must be elated still! I think Wigan had a similar run in their 1st prem season, but fell off later, due to fatigue etc, and the next season did the same run in the Carling Cup, and got through to the final, but less well in the league. Wigan keep some donkey defenders on their books, but sell their better players, for profit, but hopefully now, the team is geting it together.
The thing now is for Holloway to keep people fit, and grounded, or other players will goad them, ie Harry Enfield type 'My watch is worth more than you get paid in a year', and disrupt the spirit, make people want more wages, and I can't see Holloway agreeing to that, so people leave...like they did at Wigan..
But WHAT is up with Liverpool? They had a bad run last season, until they thrashed us, then their season picked up(!) great! You can see they are not relegation material, but look at Portsmouth, relegated, then at the bottom of the Championship too..? AND Preston down there too, when they were favourite to be promoted last 2 seasons?
I think to Blackpool, they are expected to lose, and play every game like an FA cup final, and there are always upsets. But the seasiders seem to have the upper hand so far, may it long continue!
