Vaccines and the like cannot be compulsory.

Firstly, in general the concept of compulsion has validity, if there is a strong enough public health interest, just as many other things are compulsory to do or not do in the interests of society.

But what can be compulsory without a hint of forced "medical interventions" is quarantine. No jab = no job, no access to public transport, no access to shops/pubs/retaurants/cinemas/etc/etc - in short no jab=no setting foot outside your front door (except for closely defined important reasons, e.g. medical). And serious thought to either banning family/friends visits, or periods of quarantine them as well following visits.

The idea is yes - people are free to make "their choice" to not cooperate and be part of society in one way, but if they do, they are no longer allowed to be part of society in any other way.

Their choice.

Don’t say that - it’s been threatening to leave the country (and this forum) since December 2019. Excuse after excuse. Waiting for son to pass exams to go to university (got a place in Oxford but rejected them ), then the pandemic, now that’s clearing up and it’s free to travel we are just waiting for excuse V.3.
