Gove: Who needs experts? Or did he mean exports?

Experience G , experience. Ask tradesmen who were earning £200 a day on price work then within few years struggling to earn £80 a day for the same work.
Before you say it, I know it was the bosses who took advantage of the unlimited supply of labour coming from countries whose average wage was £400 a month. I don’t blame the people coming over, I would have done the same in their position. I blame the EU & Bliar for holding down wages for a decade.

Notches post was a reply to mine G.
I know you aren’t the sharpest but surely you can read properly.
Have told your children that you are a online troll? Your family must be so proud of your achievements

Finally a remoaner admitting what caused wage stagnation... free movement.
Free movement didn't cause wage stagnation.

Proof of which I've posted many times....and many times you ignore as it upsets your opinion

EFL. This might not make me popular but I’m afraid recent recessions don’t tend to effect where I live & work compared with ither parts of the country. We didn’t have housing crashes or mass unemployment with 2008. What we did have was wage stagnation due to over supply.

Notch. Dream on.not opinion. Experience.Experience is something you cannot deny people you don’t agree with from having.
Whatever excuse you come up with, I make my decisions on experience

Yes. That’s EXACTLY who I’m talking about, however you want to insult us.

Ok. I did put three question marks.

I am sure Osborne's austerity - blaming 2008 - must have had some effect.

Not where I live. House prices didn’t drop, land didn’t drop, building costs didn’t drop. A good friend of mine came over from Romania. I ask him about 10 years ago what are the wages like back there now & he said about £350/£400 a month.
Tradesman came over and were taken advantage of. The result of that created massive wage drops / stagnation in some fields.

Nosey. Despite the snidey comment. It hasn’t effected me as I’m highly qualified..... unlike you...

No not experience.

Anecdotal evidence with bias.

Overall picture tells a different story.

London & home counties saw a 30% drop in pay and it took about 8 years to recover. That's not anecdotal. When I moved to Cornwall I could charge a significantly higher day rate than when I was just outside London because there was no competition here. Eventually wages were dragged down because the large building companies did bring in cheaper labour, since then it recovered but generally I'd say there was a ten year period of stagnation.
