Happy Brexit day

An excellent one liner in that article:
And while, as the Financial Times’ Peter Foster put it, “It’s angina, not a heart attack”, living with angina long term can be an unpleasant experience.
from noseall's link.
Maybe the government already begin to realise that Brexit will continue to be exposed as a huge pile of poo, so they've dreamed up a diversionary story. They called it "partygate".
Peter Foster was European correspondent for the Telegraph but when it became a Brexit propaganda paper he moved away from the lies.

Peter Foster is pretty knowledgeable on EU matters and Brexit facts - sone will be ignored by the likes of Woody and Fillyboy who can only cope with emotive slogans

Read an article in yesterdays Daily Mail (yes, I know!) written by Johnson, extolling the virtues of Brexit. Near the beginning he starts listing some benefits - no tampon tax, won't need to insure your lawnmower, blue passports, crown mark on pint glasses. Is this really why people voted Brexit?

the Conservatives voted against the no tampon tax bill in 2015.

the lawnmower insurance, I don’t think has ever been mandatory across Europe ( it’s not lawnmowers, it’s off road vehicles).

crown mark on pint classes -there was no EU rule banning it

Britain could have chosen to have pink and yellow striped passports -theres no EU rule

'Shackles being released' it their latest go-to phrase. Apparently we are all free of EU shackles now that we have left the Union. This basically means that all the EU rules that we were 'forced' to follow when members of the EU are now..er..UK rules but exactly the same. Nothing has changed but we are now free to do exactly the same things we did whilst we were members.

Brexit - huge pile of poo.

Yep, Bozo's freeing us of red tape and rules. Try telling that to exporters who now have far more red tape and rules to cope with than before Brexshit. So much that many smaller companies are being strangled by red tape, rules, bureaucracy, costs and delays that many just give up exporting to The EU.

Surprisingly, many of the EU rules that we are now supposed to be happy to be free of, The UK played a large part in drafting them.

Out of curiosity, I sometimes ask Brexiters which EU rules they felt were hindering them or holding back their lives. Silence.

Yes, usual Boris 'Party Animal' Johnson BS. Selling us Brexit benefits that we already had anyway.

Yes, literally. And the MP who went on a fact finding mission to see the problems for drivers queueing for days in Kent for Dover - actually stepped in the pile of poo. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Huw Merriman MP steps in poo in Kent layby on Brexit lorry trip

Brexit farce. You couldn't make the $ho1te up! :)

Huw Merriman who soiled himself by being part of the Brexit con has stepped in poo created by Brexit

a perfect metaphor for Brexit

Channel ports could ‘grind to a halt’ over Brexit border checks

"The warnings followed the publication on Wednesday of a House of Commons report that was highly critical of the government’s management of the UK border after Brexit, accusing it of “overpromising” and failing to hit its own deadlines."

“It’s time the government was honest about the problems [of Brexit] rather than overpromising.”

["Overpromising". New term for lying? Must remember that one!]

"The 27-page report from the Commons public accounts committee said the government had promised that Brexit would free British businesses, enabling them to maximise productivity, but the reality had proved very different since January 2021.

“The only detectable impact so far is increased costs, paperwork and border delays,”

"The government has promised that it will create the “world’s most effective border” by 2025"
