Happy Brexit day

Why do we need a minister for brexit opportunity?

surely if there were benefits, they would be self evident
Lol

Not only blind, but word blind too.

Do you make these mistakes when given a set of plans to work to? :cautious:

Rumour had it that he wasn't much good at his previous job and was expected to be sidelined. Maybe he has been.

Worth a read, came out today, 102 page report.
The benefits of Brexit - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

It would seem that large scale Importers and exporters are ok. The problems are largely with smaller scale ones and general logistics problems with mixed consignments in artics due to paperwork needed for each item. It also sounds like future changes will make this worse in some areas.

People seem to have forgotten that we have a container port - no problems there. None I have heard of anyway. Dover is all and a lot of businesses use it.

The economy. It depends on how it is looked at. Recovery rates are only one aspect and deeper slumps are like;y to show higher recovery rates. GDP recovery levels aren't much good either as it depends on the price of goods - where ever they come from. Not just the goods that the public buy but also stuff companies buy.

Anyway Brexit is done and in real terms it's not helped. Seems we can look forward to all sorts of improvement long term, maybe in 2030. That is when they say we can judge what they are doing / have done.

I am sorry you dont understand something so simple, it works like this:

there aren't any benefits to Brexit, so there arent any opportunities to be found.

Who would've thought self imposed economic sanctions would be good for a country -Woody apparently :ROFLMAO:

The opportunities are in the scrapping of EU laws. Laws put there for the protection of employees and consumers.
Without such laws much trade with NI could be affected because the products will no longer be commensurate with EU products.

What do you think they gained from resigning from the EU?

Millions of UK Covid survivors may have a different opinion.
Your maths is suspect. How could the nationalisation of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine possibly have saved millions of UK lives.
It wasn't the first vaccine to be approved. It wasn't the first vaccine to be administered in UK.
It was the cheapest. It was the most 'adverse effects' prone.
UK's action of limiting its use elsewhere, and ensuring priority for UK citizens caused the unnecessary death of hundreds of thousands of foreigners in third world countries.

Brexiteer blames Kent traffic chaos caused by Brexit on Brussels. Witless, deluded toady MP Natalie Elphicke (think she needs to rethink surname spelling) wants Doris to invest in more roads in Kent in a vain attempt to help sweep the increasingly obvious Brexit disaster under the carpet. Brexit is literally the road to ruin for UK.

Cummings reckon no guarantee of success from it but the need to solve other problems. Others say it will take a while to show beneficial results. I'd say they mean years. We are being told we can judge in 2030. ;) Levelling up anyway.

Best word for it really is an experiment. It's dependent on all sorts of things but they have a lot more money available out of the tax take. Billions. Some of the EU billions sent there that came back should be going where they went before. Wales was told that anyway.
