Happy Brexit day

Cummings reckon no guarantee of success from it but the need to solve other problems. Others say it will take a while to show beneficial results. I'd say they mean years. We are being told we can judge in 2030. ;) Levelling up anyway.

Wasn't one of the real reasons for Brexit because The EU were bringing in new tax and money laundering rules that would have made it difficult for wealthy Tory donors to hide their vast wealth?

Brexit benefits later is like free beer tomorrow. By the time we get to 2030 and Brexit is still ruinous, Doris and co will be long gone, coining it in from directorships, patronages, backhanders, after dinner speeches, etc, etc.

Millions of UK Covid survivors may have a different opinion.
Pmsl at your ignorance...

Given the extremely low death rate from this 'virus' and the wrecking of the economy, millions may beg to differ...

And what about...

"A record 6.1 million people are now waiting for NHS care, new data shows, while the number of people spending more than 12 hours in A&E has hit a new high."

What do you think those millions are worried about?

"The health secretary told MPs that despite the NHS's "exceptional efforts", there is "now a considerable COVID backlog of elective care".
He said 10 million people are estimated to have stayed away from the NHS during the pandemic, with 300,000 people now waiting longer than a year for care."

How many of those millions do you think will die unnecessarily?

What for example is the death rate from late diagnosis of cancer?

In some ways it relates to levelling up. Think in terms of how long it takes to build roads, hospitals, schools and factories. get 50,000 nurses, The one my son may finish up marrying works 12hr shifts. Perhaps they all do. Not a job that suites all and needs a degree, One hospital is speeding up assistant training.

Then comes the ideas such as Cummins research often doesn't yield anything useful but from time to time it does. If it's not done nothing ever does.I wonder if the billions pouring in is venture capital. Pass. Does it relate to being able to sell to the EU. I've no idea.

BritishVolt gets £100m and is expected to get to full production in 2028. They expect to need a total of £3.8b. China Envision figures as well, They supply Nisan.

Boris has mentioned diagnosis centres. ;) Personal interest. What does it mean. Could it be an old idea. One B'ham hospital had a dept called QED. Quick and early diagnosis. My GP mentioned that he could send people there as often as he liked. He mentioned that he had a more thorough option but could only send some one to it once, Another similar. I mentioned to my dentist that I wondered GP's were being paid in a different way. He mentioned how he was paid had changed. Before treatment rather than afterwards. ;) Nothing is that simple but I have to wonder. Attempts to control budgets.

They have increased taxation this time and not just NI. They have extra billions since being out of the EU, On average 7.8 of them. Taxation raises 800 of them.

I see what you're saying - if more people had had the vaccine, there would have been less in hospital with covid, so there would be shorter waiting lists, and by extension, less people to die from waiting for treatment.

 All will be ok when we get a seat on the WTO's top table.

If Brexit hadn’t happened we wouldn’t have needed the impending tax rise.

that’s the cost of brexit red tape.

Plus the massive increase in costs for industry, haulage, importers, etc, etc. Party Animal Johnson's 'promises' for Brexit to reduce red tape have had the exact opposite effect. In fact the increase in bureaurcracy and paperwork is massive for some. We're all going to pay dearly for a long time.

The tax, and all the other cost of living increases we face are to pay back the £400 billion spent on covid - which you endorsed wholeheartedly.
