Hi Steve, I posted it as a suggestion if the OP couldn't find pin adapters anywhere. This PSU give 20V at 2A, the same as the one in the photo, so could possibly replace it completely. Should have made that clear really.

That sounds like the result of using a 2.5 mm plug in a 2.1mm socket.bought that one today it works but only if i hold the adaptor at an angle
