Can you show me some evidence to suggest that the woman was presenting no danger? How did the officer know that? how did know what she had in her hand?
and no I dont hit or attack women, so you can stop repeating the question. If a woman attacked you in a serious manner, and you felt under threat. Would you not defend yourself as to escape the situation or would you just let the attack continue?

Witness statements clearly show she was acting like a lunatinc, aggressive and out of control.
He was suspended as procedure, quite normal.
How did he know she was defenceless? The officers where surrounded by protesters in a heated situation. Joe stop making out she was a quiet innocent woman just going about her business because she wasnt
Most companies suspend someone if they are suspected of gross misconduct, as this chap was. It doesnt mean they have done something wrong, they just need them out of the way so they cant possibly do anything else wrong in the meantime.

The courts ruled he was justified so i guess i will live with that.
Heavy handed- -probably, but then again i have never been in his situation.

joe you're out of order here.. the other coppers were dealing with other protestors, she was specifically targeting him for abuse and was pushed back several times before he struck her.
she had something in her hand and he had no ide what it was.. like I said earlier for all he knew it was a cup of battery acid, a knife or a vial of anthrax.
he feared for his own safety and struck her to make her back off..
in the same situation and with a hundred protestors shouting and screaming abuse from all directions at me then I may very well have done the same thing..
gender has no issue here.. if it was a guy he would have done the same thing, perhaps even more and earlier..
and before you ask, for the record I don't go round beating up women, or guys for that matter but I will defend myself from any percieved threat irrespective of gender.

Watch the video. He went towards her to strike her. Any of the protesters could have been carry a weapon - she was just being lippy and he gave her a public beating. Is that what YOU would have done? Is that what you want British Police to do? Go around beating women for being lippy?
