I don't, and I'm about as hairy as they come! I have one of those adjustable shower heads (not the aireating type), and I find that it is less effective on full flow rate than when I close it down a little to reduce the water volume but increase the velocity.
Indeed. I imagine that it's a bit like the business of flushing loos. For decades, those advocating the use ('wastage') of less water to flush (e.g. by the use of 'dual flush') have been pointing out that the effectiveness of flushing (including 'surface cleaning') is far more dependent upon the velocity of the water doing the flushing than its volume.
