There does seem to be complete denial from remainers that leavers could have any rational thoughts which guided them to vote leave. There are many rational arguments for voting leave, just as there are for remain.

One very simple arguement was the direction of travel - the EU is seeking tighter integration and alignment. All are deemed to be heading in the same direction and only the pace is up for negotiation. if you aren't in the Euro, then a lot of benefit doesn't work for you. It hinders your ability to make independent regional investments to support local industries, prevents you from forming close partnerships with countries whom you have good alignment and prevents you from competing on a global basis by quickly responding to market opportunities.

However, now an election campaign video has emerged of shadow justice minister Imran Hussain make a firm pledge on student debt. He said: “Just this morning Jeremy Corbyn has announced that the tuition fees will be abolished straight away from September if there’s a Labour government, and that we will bring back immediately EMA and also that every existing student will have all their debts wiped off.”

Labour's "ambition" is to write off all student debt, which would cost £100bn, shadow education secretary Angela Rayner has said.

The Labour MP said it was a "huge amount" and the party would not commit to doing it "unless we can afford to".
