I think it does make people irrational, far right parties are not rational, just as far left parties aren't either. I don't want to live in a far right nation.. I want to live in a balanced society.

Up to now, only economically, but we are talking about the future and the rise of what you call the far right because of people's perceptions of what they think is likely to happen.

No, we've got plenty of potential home grown terrorists in our midst but it will certainly make things harder for them.

Andrew Neil is very challenging of the establishment, he does not let the interviewees get away lightly. If the interviewees aren't very good at what they do they get shown up. The piece he broadcast after the Paris attacks was far from mouth-piece ish. I find BBC news website is a whole bunch more mouth-piece than the telly from the same outlet.

I think that's what bothers me the most. The rise of far right parties, which let's face it, have a black heart at their very core, is on the back of what people THINK may happen. Far right parties are exploiting fears to gain popularity. I really really do not want this to happen to Europe, to give Far right extremists any power in government. Luckily they are still the minority, despite the rise.

I am for immigration control, not closure. It should be done in a fair manner, not just Muslims, which is what you're mainly talking about. Anyone with a criminal record should not be allowed in etc. For example how Arnis Zalkalns got into this country is a utter f.up when he'd already done time for murdering his wife. You would not get past the border control in say, the USA with that record.
