Installing a gas hob

I was going to use barrier plastic pipe for gas. I understand it has a foil barrier to stop air getting passing through the pipe wall. Using this pipe will stop gas coming out of the wall. Plastic is a good conductor so I will not have to bond the pipe.

do i detect just a tiny hint of sarcasen in this topic if people want to fit their own gas appliances let them they know better than reg people good luck to them the more they injure/kill all the better, then maybe the goverment will pass a law to ban the sale only to registered people

COrgi have got that one covered. They're going to write to purchasers of gas appliances to find out who installed them.
But people might not answer?
But then corgi will write asking to inspect.
But people will rightly tell them to "go away"?
Corgi may still be working on that one, haven't heard any further suggestions..

Snort cough splutter, eh my neice you understand, cough cough, what,
did I miss something, can you run me through it all again I fell asleep

I think paddyallan has taken the hint. I hope the hint makes him use a registered engineer.

Kevin, you are competancy when you do your ACOPS or whatever. CORGI is only registration to legaly carry out gas work for gain.
