I can sum it up in one word, its called reproduction, a wonderful idea that god arranged to create diversity. If it was left to evolution alone, then things would simply duplicate themselves, or start producing themselves in an uncontrolled manner after a certain amount of lapsed period, and you would start getting exponential growth, as you do in cancer, cancer cells simply reproduce themselves (divide or double) without atrophying factor. hence cancer is due to defective instructions in its gene. Evolution always go for the survival, so there is no question of evolution to develop self destruction, (timely atrophy of cells after division)
Cancers have grown rapidly over the years, today there are far more deaths from man made radiation that we all are subjected to, powerful radio waves from hundreds of TV and radio transmitting towers, mobile phones and their communication towers, aviation radars, other microwave communication links, global warming due to our burning fossil fuels causing holes in earths protective ozone layers, causing UV radiation to leak through. many many more man made substances which are carcinogenic.
