IP Addresses thread - strangely turns to a God thread!

Interestingly or not - maybe. I have songed most of me up for donation/medical science.

The missus was more than happy as long as my eyes weren't used. Something about the soul looking through on others.

Can't remember her exact reason.

Have to keep myself amused while we wait for an answer from the believers.

I've never been to a strip joint. Of course, I do realise that Christians never set foot in either of those places.

And of course no man of God has ever had his wicked way with a child? (I shan't bring up what happened to the priest that baptised me ;)).

I can only assume that the religious members are in church praying for guidance.

Let me guess. You took him from behind and he reached his hands under your appendage and tickeled your ba**s.

Proverbs 3:5-6 wrote

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

Again.

Not an answer. Just propaganda.

GOD DID NOT WRITE THE BIBLE!

Just in case you didn't know. The bible is a translation of a translation of an amalgamation of stuff written by people 300 years or more after the events of the new Testament.

As for the priest - nothing involving me thankfully. But the church bundled him off to some mission in Africa to avoid some "embarrassments".

Much like they tried to cover up all sorts of Godless behaviour over the centuries of corruption, brainwashing and generally contradictory/hypocritical activities.

To be honest I was trying to keep the church as an organisation out of it because it really is unfair to the believers due to the bizarre contradictions of the bible both as a body of text and as a concept of doctrine and organisation. Just look at the church as a money making machine and the story of Jesus casting out the money lenders.

No, I was trying to keep this a philosophical discussion. But all the believers can do instead of answering a simple question is start quoting relevant tosh.

Now... try again.

Answer the question.

Which bit? He didn't write it.

You can't prove that the assorted people over the ages got it from god, and even if they did, you can't prove that nothing was lost in translation.

Now - answer the question.

Not sure what his point is, but it has flirk all to do with the fricking question.

The translation of a translation of a bunch of stories written by lots of anonymous people over many years, hundreds of years after the supposed act can hardly be called THE word of blo0dy anyone let alone a mythical being in the clouds.

But like I said. The Bible should have nothing to do with the question as the church should have nothing to do with the question.

The involvement of the church only serves to weaken the position of the believers IMHO; as it shows very little in the way of free thought and just the blind following of a bunch of odd men is flowing frocks.

If, and it's a big if, the bible is the word of god then you'd think there'd be an answer to your question in it. Unless god's a bit lost for words on the matter ;)
