Is Islam A Religion of Peace

According to you there is a God. You believing there is a God does not change the fact that there is no God.

I don't need to argue with you if there is a God or not. I know there is not but you will always be deluded.

You see - it works both ways.

However, which is the more probable and more likely?

Also note grammar and spelling which further detracts from your credibility.

its funny how i only said one thing on here, and the flood gates open. it proofs you hate the idea there is a God,

and my grammer spelling, has nothing to do whith it.

Jesus said if they hated me, they will hate you. very true.

No more than I hate fairies.

Why does God let you write so badly?

Jesus said if they hated me, they will hate you. very true.
...and before that:
Jeremiah 5:21
‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not’

On the question of God dunno but

A good while back there was a prog on the Telley about those people that have died but have been brought back i.e died for x amount of minutes in a intensive care or trauma unit in a hospital. Before being revived

All of those that were spoken to who had gone through this experience basically said or described the same thing or had the same experience ?

what they refered to as an out of body experience , they described how they were looking down from a high place on there body laying on the bed ?

The surgeons or doctors talked about placing unusual (?) objects in the ward , that could only be seen from high level i.e the people that would have one of these reported out of body experiences would than be asked if or what they saw whilst looking down on there body ??

dunno what the out come of it all was or if it ever got started or its on going ??????

I hope their is life after death tbh . Hope so any way . I always felt or thought that I was destined for greater things.

I fell in with a bad lot hence why I spend time on a DIY forum communicating with dead beats & no hopers :LOL:

(only joking :))

So you don't know... you believe. Two very different things.

You believe because you were told it was so and were too weak minded to form your own thoughts. You read a book and cherry picked the bits that made you feel warm and fuzzy inside; and when faced with the nastier side to your cult, try and dismiss it with "its part of a larger plan" nonsense.

I'm sure you are a nice person, so this kind of brainwashing your suffer from makes it all very tragic.

Why do people have to be put down for believing something?
My nephew follows his Christian faith with dedication. He has spent 4 weeks in Rwanda helping locals build shelters for homeless people. Frontline charity work!
I hope he continues and is never swayed by people calling him weak minded and a cherry picker.
And I hope breadand butter continues also.

No one actually knows if something outside of the material world exists or not so the argument is futile.

I had the BIG off during a motorcycle road race 30+yrs ago.

I'm told I had no pulse when the doctor got to me trackside, but a feint one when put in the ambulance.

Many things could be said to have saved my life that day but to cut a long story short . . . the surgeon sat on my bed 4 days later & asked me if I had anything to tell?

"I remember the light, very bright but not uncomfortably so. It was at the end of the tunnel, yet it wasn't a tunnel, it's hard to describe. I was definitely travelling towards the light whilst being in the light at the same time. I could see shapes moving within the light & I became sort of aware that I was travelling towards a particular group of them. As I got closer I could see that the shapes were people. I remember trying to make sense of the shapes, I remember the overwhelming sense of peace, the incredible feeling that all was well in my world.

The only thing I know for sure is that it was my Grandad who turned to me & said "bugger off, it's not your time".

With no further discussion, the surgeon told me that they don't know if it's truly the afterlife or if it's just an effect of the experience of a major trauma & all that comes after it.

I'm not the only one who's story is similar to this & I'm told that there are 3 main themes to them, the 'out of body experience' floating above the operating table being one of the others . . . .

That very noble of him. Are you saying that atheists and secularists can't do charity work?

One could argue that an atheist is more worthy for doing charitable works as he is not doing so out of fear of damnation.

Why do people have to be put down for believing something?
Because it is nonsense.
When it isn't religion and in place to control people then believing such things is called insanity.

My nephew follows his Christian faith with dedication. He has spent 4 weeks in Rwanda helping locals build shelters for homeless people. Frontline charity work!
Admirable charity work, as you say; nothing to do with religion - unless his religious leaders cajoled him into doing it.
The other option is not being a horrible person; quite the contrary.

I hope he continues and is never swayed by people calling him weak minded and a cherry picker.
And I hope breadand butter continues also.
If these things are only done because god says so then it invalidates their humanity.

No one actually knows if something outside of the material world exists or not so the argument is futile.
...and therefore so is the belief.

I'm told that there are 3 main themes to them

You would think if it was the same thing occurring that the "theme" would be the same. Otherwise, it could well just be natural endorphins or the medication causing you to see things. I remember several "out of body experiences" at university. God had feck all to do with them.

I wonder of all the victims of secxual abuse at teh hands of the church managed out of body experiences too? Perhaps they were charitable experiences?
